And so the Tale is told...

The Kingdom was a place of legend: powerful, wealthy and at peace. Its subjects were loyal, good people, who had long forgotten the horrors of warfare. But in forgetting war, so too did they forget the skills they had used to defend themselves.

It was then, when the Kingdom was at the pinnacle of a seemingly endless peace, that the demons came. They corrupted the lands, transforming wild animals into monsters to attack the Kingdom. The people were defenceless and could only run, leaving the lands outside and seeking refuge in the cities, where the monsters could not enter. The cities became bastions of safety, but it was not enough.

To protect their homeland, people stayed together and started to train themselves once again to be fighters. Many trained and many found their purpose in becoming fierce warriors. They formed an army. They fought back against the demons. However, the demons were strong and had prepared themselves well before they attacked the Kingdom. The Kingdom's people refused to give in; they fought together, side by side, to protect their homeland. A bitter war had begun where no side was prepared to surrender.

So the cities remained standing and the people continued to fight and hold their ground, waiting for the bravest warriors to rebuild their homeland...
