Sparta [War of Empires] - Chosen by Leonidas and thrust into the midst of an ongoing war against Xerxes and the Persian Empire, you have been tasked with leading your City-State. Your City will be your source of wealth and Resources, the heart of your Army and the central point of your ever-growing domain. Your job as Archon is to build and command your army, grow your City and protect it from the Persian threat. On your journey you will have to challenge rival cities and fight to claim your place in history. Only through clever diplomacy, Resource trading and the forming of Alliances with other Archons will you find victory in ancient Greece but know that the choices you make will determine your chances of success!

Simply having a large army is not enough to win the war against Xerxes you will need to be a master of the strategic arts if you wish to stand a chance against their army. Join a Coalition or create and develop your own to fight alongside other Archons, occupy other Cities and increase your control over Greece. Fight together and cooperate with other Archons to defeat rival Coalitions, gain fame and enjoy the spoils of war. By creating your own Coalition and assisting other Archons, you can supply Resources, Articles and even Reinforcements to each other in times of need. To succeed and overcome Xerxes’ overwhelming numbers, it is going to take a team of many. You’ll need to work together and master battle strategy if you have hopes of victory against Xerxes, no Archon can survive alone.

Drafting Agreements with other Cities will pay off by increasing your strength as an army and your ability to stand up to Xerxes. Signing agreements with other Cities will allow you to train new types of units, gain abilities, and even construct new buildings. Each day, your Ephors will draft up one new Article of Agreement, which you can use to sign Agreements with other Cities. If you deem them unnecessary, you may Trade them with other Archons at the Ephorate. Update Agreements to increase the statistics of their respective Units and buildings.
